From smartwatches, fitness trackers, and Bluetooth headsets to heart-rate/blood monitoring devices and smart apparels, these wearable sensing technologies have impacted our modern lives in a much deeper and meaningful way. This webinar provides a basic understanding of the fundamentals and principles governing a general wearable sensing device, with a main focus ion the recent advances made in the field of epidermal skin technology that deals with the development of ultra-thin skin patches with transmitters to quantify muscle movements, glucose, lactic acid, and other parameters. Dr. Jessica Koehne from NASA Ames Research Center provides us with her real-life experience working in this field for many years. Dr. Ritesh Vyas from BASi Research Products also provides a brief overview of a recently introduced wearable Potentiostat/Galvanostat (“Sensit Wearable”) that is specifically manufactured by PalmSens BV to assist researchers and scientists in this field.
