Welcome Kanishka Gupta, our new Account Manager for Electrochemistry, West Coast

It is with great pleasure that we introduce Kanishka Gupta, our new Account Manager for Electrochemistry, West Coast.
Kanishka has a Bachelor of Technology in Chemical Engineering from Bharati Vidyapeeth University, Pune India. Apart from learning electrochemistry and mass transfer concepts here in various real-life processes, he also developed a strong technical foundation for the modern-world processes related to electrolysis, batteries, electrodeposition, mass-transport, fluid dynamics and so on. Being in leadership roles for organizing technical and cultural events throughout his bachelor studies has provided him with the much needed initial exposure for sales and marketing at academic levels. After graduating, he immediately stepped into the professional world in the similar fields, gaining over 5 years of valuable real-life experience across diverse market segments and multi-national companies.
During this time, he successfully managed technical sales, account management, and marketing, while also building strong client relationships and delivering customized solutions. A key highlight of his professional career was boosting product stream revenue by 32% and converting 40% of leads into long-term clients through targeted follow-ups & marketing. These roles truly helped him develop and sharpen his professional skills to manage end-to-end sales cycles, provide technical support, and develop effective go-to-market strategies.
Later on, he came to USA to pursue an MBA at the Rady School of Management, University of California, San Diego. His time at Rady was instrumental in sharpening his business acumen, particularly in marketing strategy and data-driven decision-making. He also had the opportunity to be actively involved as a Teaching Assistant and Vice President of Student Outreach, that gave him a deeper insight into managing diverse teams and communication in a global context.
Outside of work, he is passionate about staying physically and mentally active. He enjoys playing / watching cricket and badminton, going on road trips, hiking, and taking part in any other adventure activities. Music is another big part of his life and he is super passionate about singing. He believes in living life with passion and purpose.
With a strong technical foundation in chemical engineering and electrodeposition, an MBA from UCSD, and 5+ years of high quality technical sales experience, Kanishka is both excited and confident to join BASi, where he can bring together his technical sales experience and marketing skills to drive growth and innovation.
